Hetzner processes personal data (in particular server log files with IP addresses) as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR, exclusively on our instructions. A data processing agreement (DPA) is in place. Servers are located in Germany.

3. Server Log Files

On every page visit our hoster automatically records: IP address, requested URL, date and time, data volume transferred, HTTP status code, browser and operating system. This data is used solely to ensure technical operation and defend against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted after 7 days at the latest.

4. Contact Form

When you use the contact form, the data you provide (name, email address, optionally phone number, message) is processed to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Data is not passed on to third parties and is deleted after processing, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Email delivery via Microsoft

Contact requests are forwarded via Microsoft's SMTP service (smtp.office365.com). The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Microsoft acts as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR; a DPA is included via Microsoft's Product Terms. More information: Microsoft Privacy Statement.

5. Tariff Comparison Forms (Electricity, Gas, Internet)

On the Electricity, Gas, and Internet sub-pages we offer a pre-capture form where you can voluntarily provide details about your current tariff (postcode, consumption, provider). This data is used solely to forward your enquiry to us by email (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Email delivery is via Microsoft (see section 4).

6. Embedded Check24 Comparison Widgets

This website embeds comparison widgets from the CHECK24 partner programme. A JavaScript from files.check24.net is loaded, which displays the CHECK24 tariff comparison within an iframe.

When the widget loads, your browser establishes a direct connection to CHECK24's servers. CHECK24 may collect technical data (IP address, browser). All data you enter in the comparison widget (e.g. postcode, consumption) is transmitted directly to CHECK24 and processed there. CHECK24 is the sole controller for this data processing within the meaning of the GDPR.

We use only technically necessary cookies and localStorage entries:

• fo-cookie-consent — Stores your cookie consent (localStorage). No tracking function. No consent required under § 25 TTDSG.
• fo-theme — Stores your light/dark mode preference (localStorage). No consent required.

When you consent in the cookie banner, the CHECK24 widget is loaded. CHECK24 may set its own cookies — these are governed exclusively by CHECK24's privacy policy.
